Origin of the symbol

A path that became a signature.

My first three-dimensional scientific visualization, produced in Python, followed the simplex algorithm on the Klee–Minty polyhedron. The current symbol returns to that origin in a construction recalculated for the web.

The polyhedron represents the research set, the arrow the objective function, the copper path the five successive pivots, and the solid point the optimum reached.
